In Delhi-NCR, the maximum temperature will drop slightly till the weekend but no major relief is likely till June 15.

Delhi's base weather station Safdarjung Observatory on Thursday recorded a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.

With the mercury reaching 46.8 degrees Celsius in Mungeshpur, it was the hottest place in the city.

Meteorologists said that the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR will drop slightly till the weekend but there is no possibility of any major relief till June 15.

Senior IMD scientist RK Jenamani said that the weekend will be cloudy in Delhi but the chances of rain are very less.
